Pisang Peak Climbing (17 Days)

Tour Duration:

Pisang Peak Climbing involves trekking in the famous Annapurna region and summiting Pisang Peak. Additionally, we also visit Muktinath and trek in the beautiful Manang region of Nepal. Our 18-day journey begins in Kathmandu where we meet our climbing leaders/guides and fellow climbers. We drive to Dharapani the next day and begin trekking from there. We enjoy views of Annapurna, Tilicho and Gangapurna on our trek leading to Pisang Peak and summit the peak on the ninth day of our journey. The views of the Annapurna ranges, Dhaulagiri and other Himalayas from the top are magnificent. On our way back we follow the route that leads us to crossing Muktinath which is an important pilgrimage site for Nepalese people. We cross Thorong La Pass which is the highest mountain pass in the world to reach Muktinath. Our Pisang Peak itinerary also includes the beautiful Jomsom region which will be a worthwhile experience. From Jomsom, we fly to Pokhara and drive to Kathmandu from there, ending our amazing trip in Nepal.

Pisang Peak climbing is the most popular peak among the trekking peaks in Nepal offering the good scope for exploration and peak climbing experience in Himalayas of Nepal. Pisang Peak is one of the non-expedition peaks in Nepal and rises opposite of Annapurna II (7937). Pisang Peak lies roughly in between the giants’ Annapurna I and Manaslu both eight thousand’s. We combine Pisang Peal climbing with a world famous 'Annapurna Circuit' trekking

Pisang Peak rises above from Pisang village and yak pastures in a uniform slope of ice and snow to the final summit pyramid. This peak is considered the easy climbing peak in Nepal. To reach the base camp from Pisang village, the path ascends through sparse wood and pasture to a Kharka at (4,380m) which is considered the best place for setting up the base camp. High Camp is set up at 5,400m climbing to a shoulder on the South-West Ridge. There will be snow at the high camp from the end of November to the end of March.

Trek to Pisang Peak, after all, is difficult to match for its rugged mountain scenery, trekking challenges and exposure pose it provides on the variety of ethnic Nepalese cultures. Starting in the lowland paddy fields the trek steadily gains altitude passing through oak and pine forests and eventually emerging in the o high desert country at Manang (3597 m.). The descent is equally amazing and varied.
