Although Mera peak is the highest peak, 6654m, among the trekking peaks, the accessibility of this peak is easier, so many people consider this peak as the easily accessible peak among the trekking peaks. Makalu in the east to Cho Oyu in the west could be spectacle from the top of the peak. The trekking begins from Phaplu and crosses Sherpa and Rai villages with the Buddhist monasteries, the way through Juniper and Oak forest then Zatarwa pass leads the way to base of the Mera peak. The trip ends at the Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region.
